Why does my PSU fan not run at start-up?
Answer
Cooler Master’s Real Power M520, Real Power Pro 550W, Real Power M620 and Real Power Pro 650W feature a smart temperature monitor technology, where the fan inside the PSU only starts if it detects that the computer system heats up over a certain temperature level. After which the fan speed will increase accordingly with increase in temperature. This also means that under most conditions, the fan does not even need to run during start up.
Note: As some customers have become confused by this unique Cooler Master technology, we have decided to remove this feature from all Real Power Pro models sold from Apr.1, 2008.
